The letter is signed in black ink and comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) letter of authenticity with a matching JSA number sticker affixed to the signed and notarized document. Exhibits wear, including from crease folds and previous paperclip placement. Written while Vice President, Burr communicates with Ephraim Kirby, Esq , who was revolutionary war soldier, published first volume of law report in the U. Was first General High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons, appointed by Jefferson as Supervisor of Connecticut Internal Revenue, and was the first judge of the Superior Court of the Mississippi Territory. Burr was an officer in the continental army, US Senator, Attorney General of NY and Vice President of the United States from 1801 to 1805. Aaron Burr was 3rd Vice President of the US under Thomas Jefferson and almost became president. He is probably best know for an infamous and illegal duel in New Jersey with Alexander Hamilton while still Vice President in 1804 in which he killed Hamilton. Attached 2 pages which include Free Frank cover in very good to fine condition with expected folds measuring in total approximately 16 x 10 inches. Has received “Likely to pass full authentication” from Beckett Authentication Signature Review. Conservation freshly framed with museum plexiglass.
