This is an Original dated 1925 Ina Coolbrith Hand Written Poem and Note To Aviator Lillian Gatlin as well as an 8×10 Original photograph of Lillian Gatlin with Ina Coolbrith and a Ms. De Witt on her 83rd Birthday… Ina Donna Coolbrith (March 10, 1841 February 29, 1928) was an American poet, writer, librarian, and a prominent figure in the San Francisco Bay Area literary community. Called the “Sweet Singer of California”, she was the first California Poet Laureate and the first poet laureate of any American state. Though the first line Oh that I had wings of the dove is part of a Psalm I believe the remaining lines are a Coolbrith poem for Gatlin followed by a personal note. A very historical item and possibly an unpublished Ina Coolbrith poem.
