Dix, Major General, from Fort Monroe to Thomas Lord of New York The letter discusses assigning Lord’s son to Dix’s staff and reads: I telegraphed you several weeks ago with a view to ascertaining where your son is. I will, if you are still desirous of it, give him a place on my staff with the rank of Capt. A few pinholes at the top and mounting traces on the verso.
