




Dix Civil War General 1862 Handwritten Signed Autographed Letter COA. A very clean overall and war-dated autographed letter (dated September 24, 1862) signed by John A. Dix, Major General, from Fort Monroe to Thomas Lord of New York The letter discusses assigning Lord’s son to Dix’s staff and reads: I telegraphed you several weeks ago with a view to ascertaining where your son is. I will, if you are still desirous of it, give him a place on my staff with the rank of Capt. A few pinholes at the top and mounting traces on the verso.
