A letter in the hand of George Harrison which was sent to luthier, Tony Zemaitis. It reads:’ Friar Park Sunday Tony, In a rush to get this to you – It’s a “guess” at a deposit on 4 x Thames Valley Specials – and we’ll sort it out when I see you on the designs. At least you can go get the timber if its still available? Will call mid-week – till then All the Best George’ P. The letter refers to the’Thames Valley Specials’ series of guitars which Tony made for George Harrison, Alvin Lee, Carl Perkins, Dave Edmunds and Joe Brown in 1984. The item comes from the estate of world famous luthier, Tony Zemaitis, who made guitars for artists such as George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Paul McCartney, Mary Hopkin, Marc Bolan, Donovan, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Peter Frampton, Ronnie Wood and Ronnie Lane. The letter measures 16.2cm x 21.5cm (6.3 inches x 8.4 inches). There is glue residue on the reverse of the letter and some sections of discolouration. The condition is very good minus.
