This was written in black ink on his engraved 29. Delamere Terrace Westbourne Square. It is dated London Feb. No collection of my Poems in a French translation has ever been made, to my knowledge. If such a version was undertaken in a competent manner, I should, of course, be gratified. Permit me to point out to you that you are in error as to my Christian name. Yours Faithfully Edmund Gosse. Don’t you love it? The stationery is folded like a card and measures 7″ X 4 3/8″. Yes, the signature and writing are authentic. My local book dealer and collector carefully compared this to his other Edmund Gosse items and convinced us both that this is for real. This is in excellent condition, still crisp and bold. It was once folded in the center. There is a fingerprint beside Dear Madam. The back has some glue residue from where it was once in a matte. Please view my photographs for more description. My friend who collects everything, is starting to part with a few of his treasures, aren’t you glad?
