Thomas Edison Signed 1923 Typed Letter, Autographed pertaining to the arrangements of Financing for the Brunswick Phonograph. Amazing Typed letter to Thomas Edison dated April 6th, 1923. From his personal assistant, Hal Starrett pertaining to the creation of financing, for the Brunswick Phonograph. Thomas Edison has replied his thoughts in pencil on the first page & signed E at the conclusion. Three further pages are stapled to the first with fine details of the financing plans to offer customers. (Front Page Reads in Full:). Enclosed you will find a copy of the Brunswick Financial Plan. Dont you think that something like this, or better still, our own financing Corporation, like the Singer Sewing Machine Company, is indicated if we are going to go after business intensively in the near future. This will relieve the dealer of one of his greatest worries, the financing of new business, and I think that we can arrange it on a very much smaller discount than do the banking corporations engaged in that sort of business. Starrett- This plan has been used by some of our dealers but there is a fallacy in it + the financing Corporation receives to much profit – at one time we encouraged the plan but no longer- We will find a plan more favorable to the dealer. Three additional pages are stapled to the first as pictured, describing in great detail the plans proposed to Mr. Edison regarding Brunswick Phonograph Financing. Kept in climate controlled (68 degrees) museum quality safe/storage room in protected acid free collectible sleeve and hard cases. Always kept away from direct sunlight. Looking for the next big thing to add to your memorabilia collection? Well, this is it! Thomas Alva Edison & William H. Meadowcroft hand signed & handwritten 5″ x 8″ letter custom framed!! This is a very rare signed document of the inventor of the lightbulb as it in an internal document from Edison at his time at General Electric, the company he founded. It is an amazing letter as Edison is telling Meadowcroft to fire someone because “he is no chemist at all” which is super cool coming from one of the most famous inventors ever who is credited with a record 1093 patents in his lifetime!! This letter was obtained (After being passed down many years) From the family of William Henry Meadowcroft, Edison’s famous personal assistant & vice president of his General Electric company. In addition, William H. Meadowcroft responded to this letter & signed it at the top right!!! Meadowcroft hand wrote: George Meisler, do you attend to this? Then he signed it right after a dated it 1/13/18 (1918). Meadowcroft is also an accomplished author and credited as the man who kept Edison’s works & inventions under wraps from the public until it was time to notify the public. These documents very rarely come to surface in the general public as the most common Edison letters you see are ones that are typed on a typewriter with a small drawn out signature. This letter is an actual letter Edison hand wrote himself in full and intended for his vice president / Assistant: The letter reads: Meadowcroft tell the proper man to let knight the chemist I look on lately, go. He is no chemist at all -(Hand signed) Edison This letter is dated in the upper right-hand corner by William H. Meadowcroft “1/13/18″ (1918) & then handwritten out by him at the top right George Meisler, do you attend to this? Then he signed it right after. This letter is over 100 years old!!! For those that may not know, this is an amazing Thomas Edison signature and one of the best you will ever find out there of him as he wrote a large signature and spelled out clearly. Edison’s signature historically is all over the place as he would write a signature that was a “T & E” written together that looked almost like a symbol/Logo or might just write one initial of his name. He never really had a consistent signature on any internal documents of his they were always all over the place so this is an amazing signature of his, do your research, and you will see! This is a must-have item for serious collectors of rare documents and Thomas Edison items!! Also, this letter is in incredible condition item for being 100 years old!! You will not find a nicer letter condition-wise, signature wise out there!! Go look and you will see!! If you want an amazing piece of Edison then this it! This item comes professionally custom framed in the highest quality framing that we offer. It is museum quality that includes suede matting, laser cut lettering, a plexiglass display, 8×10 photos, and custom-made acrylic lightbulb 3D icons. In addition, the letter itself is under an additional layer of plexiglass to better preserve the letter long term. The frame itself which is black in color measures approximately 34″ x 25″ x 1 in size. If you guys want high quality framing, then this is the piece for you. It does not really get higher-end than this in the framing industry.
