1899 EDITH ROOSEVELT WIFE OF PRESIDENT THEODORE ROOSEVELT HANDWRITTEN SIGNED LETTER. Written on Albany, New York Executive Mansion Stationery while Roosevelt was Governor of New York. Sent to the wife of Spanish-American War Veteran Harry S. New who signed a letter authenticating it in 1930. New had been unable to attend a party at the Roosevelt’s and Mrs. Roosevelt wrote to express her regrets and extend another invitation for a future event. She mentions that her husband and other notables will be in attendance. This Vintage item is a great political collectible. It is in very good overall condition with wear at the edges and fold lines.
