ALS re A Bell for Adano. A handwritten letter dated 16 February 1944 on Life magazine stationery and enclosed in a Life magazine envelope. Eleven lines of text thanking a fan for her letter praising A Bell for Adano, his Pulitzer Prize winning first novel. I certainly agree with you that permanent victory has to be won in the towns behind the line – that, of course, is why I wanted to do the book. A bit of wear and aging to the envelope, but both envelope and letter are in VG condition. Even small books going to other countries are expensive; heavier books are outrageously expensive. If you are in another country, please keep this in mind. Nutmeg Books has been in business as an open shop since 1977. We have always prided ourselves on fair dealing and good customer service.
