Autograph letter signed, two pages – both sides, 9 x 11,25 inch, `Forskninginstitutet för Fysik – Vetenskapsakademien` letterhead, (Stockholm), 27.06.1938, to German physicist Clemens Schaefer – concerning the criticism of the terminology of Siegbahn (in Schaefer`s third volume of Introduction of theoretical physics), written and signed in blue ink “Manne Siegbahn”, with mild creasing, small stains and the intersecting letter folds with tears to the edges and the interface – in good condition. This letter has been signed TWICE by James Turner Morehead. Once on the front/envelope and once in the letter. There is an embossment (“SATIN”) on the upper left corner (See 9th Photo). This is a FREE FRANK Letter (See 1st and 2nd Photo). CONDITION: Moderate to heavy edge with edge line denting, chipping and creasing. One edge line has some tiny holes, from possible mounting purposes, by a previous owner. Corners have moderate rounding and crushing. Aside from the corners, there are other moderate creases and heavy mailing folds. Overall soiling/darkening is moderate and heavier along the borders and heavy folds.
