




Sir John A MacDonald Canada’s 1st Prime Minister signed handwritten letter. Dated December 31st 1889. Content as follows Dear Sir, pardon me for not answering your note of the 23 OCT. I cannot lay hands ona letter or autograph of Sir Francis Hincks. I send you my photograph and signature. Yours faithfully John A. Letter is written on the letterhead of the Canadian government’s Minister of Railways & Canals Canada Ottawa. At the time the letter was written MacDonald was Prime Minister as well as acting Minister of Railways and Canals. Authenticated by JSA with a full LOA. Great condition; two original folding creases are faint but visible. Small hole near the top edge and edges appear to be carefully trimmed including a small, clean residual tear on the left edge.
