Ted Williams – HOF. Boston Red Sox/Minneapolis Millers. Signed letter – 1938. 1938 handwritten 2-page letter, written while Williams was playing with the Minneapolis Millers. The letter is written to long-time friend Johnnie Lutz, who was a shooting buddy of Williams’ – the letter discusses a shooting match and Williams has included a newspaper clipping about the match, which will be included, along with the original envelope from’The Kentucky Hotel’ in Louisville postmarked August 18, 1938. Williams also mentions that he hit his “36th [home run] the other night”. The handwritten letter and autograph have been authenticated by PSA/DNA and a full authentication letter is included. The photo of Williams is NOT included – it is a montage from when this letter was featured in the San Diego newspaper.
