Here we have several handwritten letters from famed poet Robert Frost, dated March 23 1929 and February 23 1931, as well as one letter from his wife Elinor, dated April 21st 1929. All three still have their original stamped mailing envelopes. These were previously in the collection of David McCord, Boston poet and Harvard University fundraiser, and all three letters are addressed to him. McCord was a good friend and colleague of Frost’s, as well as eventually being a pallbearer at his funeral. The letters are handwritten on folded sheets of paper. The contents of each are largely about arranging times when the poets could meet and talk, as well as mentions of what those talks might consist of (other poets and the status of poetry). This includes mention of specific possible travel dates, as well as the Frost’s other travel plans and how they might impact arrangements. Please see photos for further idea of the condition, and feel free to ask questions. Utmost care and precaution is always taken in the packaging of our books.
